How to put your painting business on Google Maps

The first thing you want to do is to register your business with Google.

So that you show up on Google maps whenever someone is looking for a painter in your area.

To get your painting business on Google you will have to google.com/business

In order to set up your Google business, you will need a Gmail account from Google.com

The first thing you will have to fill out is your business name.

Next, you will have to enter your address (of the business).

If you are a service business such as a painter or electrician and you do not want customers to come to your address, then check the box that says “I deliver goods and services to my customers.”

That will indicate to Google that you do not want your painting Business’s address to be shown on search results.

Type in your business Category next.

Once you start typing a dropdown window will make suggestions.

Just pick the one that describes your business.

Next, you will have to enter your business phone number followed by your website URL.

After filling in everything, you will be asked to verify your address.

Google will send a postcard to your business address with a code.

Follow the instructions on the postcard. It usually only takes a few days to receive it.

Now your painting business is searchable on Google.

Make sure you consistently upload pictures to your Google My Business page. 

It shows Google that you are active and they will push your listing more and above others.

Also, post your logo everywhere you can!
